Tackling all parking challenges at once – a case of Lithuanian Airports
The parking lots at Lithuanian airports in Vilnius, Kaunas, and Palanga are maintained by uniPark, a brand owned by Stova. The new airport parking lot operator, which has been collaborating with Hansab for several years, has opted for Entringo solution for access control this time. As a result, a modern parking solution now welcomes guests upon their arrival at most airport car parks.
Equipment renewal
In the international tender for the operator of parking lots announced by Lithuanian Airports, uniPark has been selected to replace the equipment. The first phase of equipment replacement has been completed, with 9 car parks renovated. A second phase is planned for next year, including 3 additional spaces. In total, we have installed Entringo equipment with modern information terminals at 26 parking access points and 7 self-service pay stations. Both the entry terminals and the pay stations are equipped with large, high-resolution displays that provide users with a clear information overview. On the 24″ LCD color lane terminals at the entrances and exits to the car parks, drivers can view live streaming video from the cameras. This feature allows drivers to understand easily the reasons for any difficulty, such as challenging weather conditions or other disturbances, in reading the number plate properly.
Modern technologies
The smart parking system uses the latest Einar Gen2 vehicle number plate scanning cameras developed by market-leading manufacturer Adaptive Recognition. Using ultra-fast data transmission technology and high-speed, high-traffic barriers, the driver is admitted to the car park almost without stopping. The system is cloud-based, ensuring security and allowing the administrator to monitor the sites in real time.
System maintenance
Airport car parks are available for a wide range of vehicles. The functionality of the system allows the type of vehicle to be identified, which ensures that automobiles are not allowed in the bus lots, and vice versa. Due to the multilingual clients using airport car parks, we have adapted the system to their needs. Informational terminals can display information to drivers in several languages, while self-service pay stations offer a choice of up to six different languages.
