Airports are complex ecosystems, with thousands of vehicles entering and leaving every day. Staff, airline crews, tenants and travelers all rely on efficient parking access. For too long, this essential aspect of airport operations has been hampered by outdated and fragmented systems. These systems relied on paper tickets and lost access cards, which created long queues at entry gates. This is where Entringo comes in.

Entringo is a fully automated, ticketless parking solution designated, among other areas of use, for airports. The system helps operators manage access with greater visibility, less effort and full scalability. This system leverages real-time number plate recognition (ANPR) and a centralized cloud platform to simplify parking. It is a solution for both internal airport users and the general public. What makes Entringo different is its modular design, its focus on operational efficiency and its intuitive experience for both drivers and administrators.

Full-Scope Integration Across Lithuanian Airports

The most comprehensive rollout of Entringo took place at all three Lithuanian international airports: Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga. At these airports, the system covers both staff and public parking areas, representing a unique case of full rollout. Specifically, Entringo installed the system at 26 parking access points and 7 self-service payment stations. In addition, all these parking areas are equipped with large, high-resolution displays that provide users with a clear overview of information.

In essence, Entringo replaces traditional systems with a ticketless model. This system eliminates the need for printed tickets or physical cards. Operation is very simple. As vehicles approach the entry point, high-precision vehicle number plate scanning cameras instantly recognize number plates and open the gates without the driver having to take any action. Whether it is an airport employee starting their morning shift or a passenger arriving for a flight, entry and exit is smooth, intuitive and fast.

Behind the scenes, operators benefit from a centralized dashboard. This dashboard offers a complete view of utilization data, parking activities and automatic billing. A further advantage is the fact that the system also allows for the differentiation of authorizations. This means that access rules can be customized for staff, VIPs, partners or public users. With integrated multilingual support and remote access management, Lithuanian airports now have a scalable parking ecosystem that is easy to maintain and ready for future integrations.

Streamlining Staff Access at Tallinn – and Preparing for Public Rollout

Turning to Estonia, Tallinn Airport implemented Entringo to manage staff and partner parking areas. In particular, the airport had five barrier-controlled lots and two open-air fields, which were once operated with separate ticket and card schemes, each requiring its own administrative flow. Therefore, the move to a unified, cloud-based parking solution dissolved these silos into a single management environment. The technology offers essentially the same basic benefits: automated access via ANPR, a digital portal to manage users and robust monitoring tools for airport administrators.

For everyday users, such as crew members or ground operations teams, the ticketless system simplifies their entry to the car park. On the other hand, administrators gain visibility of usage and the flexibility to issue or revoke passes in real time. Even in the rare event of a technical interruption, a mobile phone-based fallback system ensures uninterrupted access to authorized vehicles.

The next logical step for Tallinn Airport will be the expansion of the Entringo system to public parking areas. This will combine traveler and staff access into a single, efficient infrastructure. Thanks to its modular, cloud-based architecture, this expansion can be carried out with minimal disruption and without the need for substantial changes to the infrastructure.
